If you forget your password and get locked out of Taskito account, don’t worry! We provide an easy to reset your password.

Note: We store passwords using BCrypt hashing so it’s not possible to recover it. You can always change it though.

How to change password when you are logged out

If you are logged out and don’t remember your password, you can change it from the Taskito app. Here are 7 quick steps to change your password.

1. Open Taskito app and go to Settings page.

2. Find an option for Account or Log in and tap on it. You should see options to create account, Log in and Sign in with Google. If your Taskito account is linked with your Google account, you don’t need to change the password to log in.

3. Tap on Log in button to go to the Log in screen.

4. In the password field, you should see a label named “Forgot?”. Tap on it to start the reset password flow.

5. Enter the email address of your Taskito account and continue. We will send you a 6 digit PIN code to verify your identity. Please check your email (and spam folder) for the code.

6. Please enter the PIN code and continue. You may try a few times if you enter incorrect PIN code.

7. Now, you can create a new password. Please use a strong password and you need to add it again to confirm your password. Tap on Update password to change your password.

If you don’t see any errors, you have successfully changed your password. You can log in with your email and the new password. 🎉

If you are already logged in and you want to change your Taskito account password, you can do so via accessing your account page.

1. Open Taskito app, go to Settings > Account.

2. Look for an option named Change password and tap on it.

3. The app will ask you for additional verification. You may verify using your current password or with a PIN code via email.

PIN code verification

1. If you select PIN verification, we will send a 6 digit PIN code to your email address.

2. Please enter the PIN code and continue. You may try a few times if you enter incorrect PIN code.

3. Now, you can create a new password. Please use a strong password and you need to add it again to confirm your password. Tap on Update password to change your password.

Verify with password

1. If you select the option to verify with password, the app will ask you to enter your current password.

2. On the same page, you need to enter your new password and confirm the same. Please use a strong password and you need to add it again to confirm your password. Tap on Update password to change your password.

Your password is updated! 🎉

🔐    When you change your password, Taskito also provides you an option to log out your account from all the other devices!

If you selected Sign in with Google option to create an account with Taskito, we verify your identity via a token from Google. Your account does not have a password and you can log in only with Google!

If you wish to set password for your account, it is possible to do via the app when you are logged in.

1. Open Taskito app, go to Settings > Account.

2. Look for an option named Change password and tap on it.

3. The app will ask you for additional verification with a PIN code via email. Select that option.

4. We will send a 6 digit PIN code to your email address. Please enter the PIN code and continue.

5. Now, you can create a new password. Please use a strong password and you need to add it again to confirm your password. Tap on Update password to set your password.

Your have successfully added a password to your Taskito account 🎉 . You can log in to Taskito using Sign in with Google or with email & password.
